Crowns and Bridges
A bridge is a prosthetic device that replaces missing teeth. It can be the “fixed” (cemented) kind or the removable type.For the fixed bridge the teeth on both sides of the missing tooth or teeth are reshaped and then an impression is taken to make a model of your mouth.
The laboratory then fabricates a solid piece to fill in the area that is cemented into place.
The removable kind is also called a removable partial denture or removable bridge. This usually has hooks or snaps that hold it in place.
